Comparing the Canon EOS 70D with the Nikon D7100
Nikon and Canon is still a fighter who always faced head to head, and could create confusion photography enthusiasts around the world. Are you confused as well? All right, I'll confuse you further by comparison with the Canon EOS 70D Nikon D7100. So you are not dizzy, make a cup of kopi luwak, so you get the benefits of this unique coffee.
Japan's leading camera company Canon has launched the EOS 70D, the successor to the Canon 60D which has been almost three years old. EOS 70D inherits advanced autofocus Canon EOS 7D. At this new Canon camera adds a few new features that promote comfort photographing and video recording, the Canon EOS 70D so you can use it more easily to create still images and video clips or HD movies.
Canon 70D has 19 focus points like the 7D is reliable and can be programmed as needed. Speed of consecutive photos is also more improved than the Canon 60D, which are 7 photos per second from the previous 5.3 photos per second. But still a little slower than the Canon 7D. Which the Canon 7D is able to capture 8 images per second. Buffer (temporary storage Canon 70D) is also quite roomy, namely 16 and 65 RAW images JPG photo. Roomy enough for action photography like sports or wildlife, especially when shooting in JPG picture format.
What's new in the Canon EOS line of cameras is the phase detection autofocus during live view. With this technology, the performance of autofocus during live view and video recording will be much faster and smoother, especially when fitted with a lens with a motor STM. The autofocus feature makes it easy to follow a moving subject quickly and smoothly when taking pictures or recording video.
Canon 70D also features modern features current generation of DSLR cameras is Wi-Fi which makes it easy to transfer images or use remote applications from smart phones. Folding LCD screen is also will be retained like the predecessor Canon 60D camera and AF micro-adjustment feature helps to calibrate the lens particularly third-party lenses that are sometimes missed Autofocus (back and front focus). Canon 70D is now also equipped with a RAW processor in the camera, so we can make the photo in JPG format in the camera than to do it on the computer.
Overall the Canon 70D is a superb camera for a variety of activities and creative photography for still or moving subjects. The technology incorporated into the camera is also sophisticated and up to date i.e. phase detection autofocus in live view and Wi-Fi installed in the camera body.
One of the important reforms that have image sensor awaited from 18MP (which is about 4 years old) to 20 MP is expected to provide better image quality, especially in dark lighting conditions.
Compared with the Nikon D7100
Nikon D7100 excels in the size of the image resolution up to 24 MP coupled with the absence of the low pass filter makes possible quality photos of the Nikon D7100 will be sharper.
But in dark lighting conditions, the performance is likely to be confused by Canon 70D. Nikon D7100 has two holes / slots for SD cards, and the bigger the LCD screen (3.2 inches) and detail with a resolution of 1.2 million dots versus 3 inches and 1 million points on the 70D.
Nikon D7100 autofocus system is also more and broader range with 51 points versus 19 points. Nikon D7100 camera body is more solid because most of the material is made of magnesium alloy.
Shortcomings, at D7100 LCD screen cannot be folded and no touch screen features (touchscreen). Does not have Wi-Fi feature on and slow autofocus during live view or video recording.
As with any other Nikon DSLR, the Nikon D7100 is very good to use for landscape photography and to shoot model in open spaces such as beaches, mountains, and even many Crime Scene Investigation laboratory using Nikon to photograph evidence in crime scene.
Both cameras are indeed interesting and sophisticated. You can buy both or one of them. If you can get to know your camera like you get to know your sweetheart, then you can use a Canon or Nikon with equally perfect results, especially now that has provided a variety of software to perform digital processing, so that your creativity is not limited. You can make a variety of creative and beautiful art photos and videos without problems.
