Alcatel is known for its mid-range smartphones, but the France-based company is now taking aim at the premium brands with the Alcatel One Touch Idol X+.
The OT Idol X features a 5-inch 1080p display and runs on the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ is powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor, sporting a 2,500mAh battery.
Depending on the task, the processor will scale back or ramp up core use from one core to the full eight. Alcatel claims, offering an 18 per cent power saving over a quad-core chip.
You can enjoy an impressive 5-inch 1080p IPS 441ppi display that is rich in colours. Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ comes with an impressive 170-degree viewing angle. HDR and Panorama features

The first initial shipments of the phone will have Android 4.2 as an operating system with later devices shipping with Android 4.4. or Android Kit Kat.
