The famous Japanese watch makers Casio launched a new compact digital camera, Casio Exilim EX-100, with a bright f/2.8 optical zoom lens equivalent to 28-300mm in 35mm terms. Alcatel is known for its mid-range smartphones, but the France-based company is now taking aim at the premium brands with the Alcatel One Touch Idol X+.
The OT Idol X features a 5-inch 1080p display and runs on the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ is powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor, sporting a 2,500mAh battery.
Depending on the task, the processor will scale back or ramp up core use from one core to the full eight. Alcatel claims, offering an 18 per cent power saving over a quad-core chip.

HDR and Panorama features
