Big fan of photography and photographers novice will be inundated many new digital cameras in 2013. All manufacturers of compact cameras, mirrorless cameras (MFT) and Digital SLR will be competing to fight the worldwide market. In between Digital SLR camera factory will be tough competition between Canon and Nikon, a classic battle with a variety of disorders from other famous brands such as Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, even Sigma, Casio and Samsung.
Canon can never be a single ruler in the world of digital SLR cameras because on March 21, 2013 has been released Nikon D7100. The camera is enhanced with the DX-format CMOS sensor, 51-point autofocus, the ability of ISO 100 to 6400. This Nikon D7100 camera has advantages as a rapid response, and the resulting noise is low enough. Nikon D7100 has a 24MP sensor as large as the Nikon D3200 and D5200, but the D7100 is slightly different because it does not have a low pass filter. With no filter, the picture increased the sharpness. But the drawback is that if photographing texture is very smooth and tight as the fabric surface, moiré effects may arise.
Nikon D7100 camera is equipped with a 3.2-inch LCD screen with high enough density resolution, i.e. 1229k dot. Nikon D7100 also provides another form of oled optical viewfinder with 100% framing. Nikon D7100 can record 1080p HD video. Video recordings can be played back on an HDTV via an HDMI cable. Not only that, there are also creative effects that can be used in the video in real-time, like-effect Color Sketch.

A professional photographer can take pictures at 6fps, or 7fps at smaller resolutions. However, photographers should prepare a storage medium such as SDXC (Secure Digital Xtra Capacity) UHS-1 standard so as to compensate for the Nikon D7100 camera's performance.
The main advantage of the Nikon D7100 is a bigger picture resolution and sharper. Another advantage is a professional 51-point autofocus, which was first introduced in the D300s camera. The presence of D7100 also makes sports and action photography enthusiasts wonder whether Nikon will launch a replacement for the Nikon D300s series workhorse sports and wildlife photographers or not. Although quite reliable, D7100 is not perfect, the amount of megapixels and advanced features EXPEED 3 processor forced to work hard enough.
D7100 can only shoot straight as 6 pictures / second. Unfortunately the temporary shelters (buffer) can only hold only 6 14-bit RAW images. Once full, we had to wait for the camera to write to the memory card.
Due to this limitation, most likely the photographer sports / action will continue to use the D300s can shoot faster at 8 fps (with grip) and the buffer can hold up to 30 RAW images. Meanwhile Canon, Nikon major competitors are reportedly preparing Canon 7D MK2 is known to have about 8 fps speed photo with more buffer space. Sure Canon 7D MK2 would be more expensive than the Nikon D7100.
Would you be affected by the competition between Nikon and Canon? Make sure you pay attention to the needs, budgets and prospects for the future such as new wide angle lens, telezoom lens, macro lens, tripod, camera bag, etc.
